The system

Five products.
One tower.

SigenStor folds the solar inverter, battery, EV DC charger, power electronics and AI energy management into a single stackable unit. One sleek install on the wall — with the signature eagle-eye front and ambient side light — instead of a wall full of separate boxes.

Built to grow

Start at 6 kWh.
Grow to 54.

Add battery modules as your needs change — a bigger family, a heat pump, a second EV. One controller stacks up to six modules, and every module is IP66-rated, so SigenStor sits happily indoors or out. Buy what you need now; expand later without starting again.

The EV home energy bridge

Your car becomes your
biggest battery.

SigenStor's built-in bidirectional DC charger does far more than charge your EV fast from sunshine. With vehicle-to-home it can power the house when the grid drops, and with vehicle-to-grid it can sell energy back at peak — the bridge between your car, your home and the grid, all in one tower.

Resilience & intelligence

Backup in the blink of an eye —
run by AI.

When the grid drops, SigenStor switches your home to battery power almost instantly. The rest of the time, the mySigen app and its AI quietly work the tariff for you — charging cheap, discharging at peak, and learning your habits so you save without lifting a finger.

Amp.×Sigenergy Approved

Approved to install.
Local to support.

AMP Renewables is a Sigenergy Approved Installer — trained and authorised by Sigenergy to design, fit and support the SigenStor system. That means your warranty is registered correctly, the system is commissioned the way Sigenergy intends, and there's a local North East team on the end of the phone for the life of the system. Cutting-edge kit, fitted properly, by a 40-year family business.

Sigenergy approved · family business since 1985

The newest tech, fitted by the
steadiest hands in the North East.

It started in 1985 — founder Joe Sheridan wiring alarm systems out of the back of a van for family, friends and neighbours. Four decades on, the same family still answers the phone: son Lee runs the installs and grandson Nathan's on the tools — and AMP is a fully accredited Sigenergy Approved Installer, trained to design, fit and support the SigenStor system.

Every install is delivered by our own time-served, NICEIC-certified electricians — never subcontracted. The same engineer who designs your SigenStor is on the scaffold the day it goes in.

Straight talk

Sigenergy is a newer name than Tesla — so here's the honest version. It's one of the most advanced home systems on the market, backed by a 10-year warranty, and we're approved to install and support it locally. We pair that with our own four-layer cover, so you're looked after whatever happens. We also fit Tesla, SolarEdge and Fox ESS — if a simpler battery suits your home better, we'll say so on the free survey.

What it costs

How much does a SigenStor cost installed?

SigenStor is a modular system, so the price follows the size you start at rather than a single fixed package. A single-module install is the entry point; most homes that want EV charging and whole-home backup in the same tower land higher. The figure below mirrors the from-price in our full battery cost table, and every quote is fixed in writing after a free survey.

  • The SigenStor module or modules you start with, plus the SigenHybrid controller
  • DC EV charging wired in, if you want the car fed straight from the roof
  • All electrical work, and the whole-home backup configuration
  • Your Northern Powergrid G98 or G99 notification, submitted for you
  • mySigen commissioned on your phone with the tariff schedule already set

How the install works

Getting a SigenStor fitted, step by step

  1. 01

    Free survey

We look at your consumer unit, your roof or existing solar, where the tower can live and how you actually use energy. No obligation, and no pressure to buy the biggest system.

  2. 02

    Fixed written quote

One price, itemised — battery, inverter integration, electrical work, EPS sub-board if you want backup, and the DNO paperwork. Not an estimate.

  3. 03

    DNO notification

We submit the G98 or G99 to Northern Powergrid for you. G98 is the fast track for most single-module installs; larger or three-phase systems need a G99 application.

  4. 04

    Install day

Usually a single day for a retrofit, one to two if solar is going on at the same time. Our own engineers — Sigenergy work is never subcontracted.

  5. 05

    Commissioning and handover

The mySigen app set up on your phone, tariff schedule configured to your Octopus or other time-of-use rate, and a walk-through before we leave.

Where we install

Sigenergy Approved Installer, across the North East

Sigenergy is new enough in the UK that who fits it matters as much as what you fit — we are an approved installer doing the work with our own engineers, not a reseller passing it on. That means Tyne and Wear, County Durham, North Yorkshire (Teesside), Northumberland, Tees Valley — if you are outside it we will say so rather than waste your time.

Questions

Sigenergy installer FAQs

It combines five things that are usually separate boxes — a solar inverter, a battery, an EV DC charger, the power electronics and the energy-management brain — into one stackable tower. Fewer components, one tidy install, and a single app to run the lot.

Yes. SigenStor has DC EV charging built in, so it can send solar power straight to your car with fewer losses than a standard charger. With vehicle-to-home it can also draw from the car to help power the house during an outage, or share energy back to the grid where supported.

Start with a single 6 or 9 kWh module and add more as your needs grow — one controller takes up to six modules, around 54 kWh. It's genuinely modular, so you're not locked into one size on day one. We'll size the first install with room to expand.

Yes, when configured with backup — SigenStor switches your home over to battery power near-instantly when the grid drops. We'll set the backup reserve and confirm which circuits stay live as part of the design.

It's one of the fastest-growing and most advanced home-energy brands, using safe LFP battery chemistry and backed by a 10-year warranty. As an approved installer we register and support it properly, and we add our own four-layer install cover on top. If you'd prefer a longer-established battery, we fit those too and will be straight with you about the trade-offs.

Yes — AMP Renewables is a Sigenergy Approved Installer, trained and authorised to design, fit and support SigenStor. You can also verify our wider accreditations (NICEIC D124458 and more), and read genuine reviews on Google, Checkatrade and Trustpilot.

From around £6,995 fully installed for a typical home configuration, with 0% VAT until 31 March 2027 — more or less depending on capacity and whether you add the DC EV-charging module. The free survey gives you a fixed written quote for your property.
