Customer reviews
Reviews from real North East customers
We point every prospect to third-party verified review platforms — Google, Checkatrade, Trustpilot, TrustMark. No screenshots, no copy-pastes, no marketing-curated highlights. The reviews are real and you can verify each one against its source.

TrustMark registerWhy we don't show curated highlights
We don't cherry-pick reviews for the website
Most renewable installer websites have a "review highlights" section showing 3-5 hand-picked 5-star quotes. We've chosen not to do that for two reasons.
First, it's not verifiable — you have no way to check whether the quotes are real, edited, paid testimonials, or even from real customers. The most-quoted "Customer X, Newcastle" you see on installer websites is often fictional or composited.
Second, the platforms above show every review — good and bad. Our Google Business Profile shows the full distribution, including the rare frustrated review and our response to it. Checkatrade reviews are verification-gated (you have to prove you had work done before you can leave a review). That's more useful information than 3 curated quotes.
We'd rather you read 50 real reviews on Google for 30 minutes than 5 curated quotes on our website for 30 seconds. That's the right basis for choosing a £5,000-£15,000 installer.
When reading installer reviews
What to look for vs ignore
Pay attention to
- Reviews mentioning specific products/brands (e.g. "Tesla Powerwall 3") — proves the reviewer actually had the work done.
- Aftercare reviews 6+ months post-install — tells you how the installer behaves once your deposit is in the bank.
- Reviews from your local area — confirms the installer actually services your postcode rather than subcontracting to the nearest available crew.
- How the installer responds to negative reviews — defensive responses suggest a defensive company.
Treat with caution
- Generic "X did a great job!" with no install detail — often paid or AI-generated.
- Review clusters all dated within a week — installer ran a "leave us a review" campaign that boosted but didn't represent baseline service.
- Only positive reviews ever — even great installers have the occasional unhappy customer; total absence of any criticism is suspicious.
- Hosted-only reviews (only on the installer's own website) — no third-party verification.
