Amp Renewables fitted solar panels and a Sig Energy battery with gateway to our home in Hebburn, South Tyneside last month. We couldn't be happier. The process was seamless beginning to end. The team were open, honest and supportive throughout. Lee talked us through the whole system and process with no pressure. The install team were very professional, punctual and cleared everything away. The installer even took the time to talk me through the Sig Energy app and how to use it. Our First month's bill have reduced significantly. A big thank you to the whole team, from the office handling our

From the initial no pressure / no sales telephone enquiry and property visit, all the way through to handover, these guys have been outstanding. I love the simplicity of the products, and the efforts to ensure minimal impact installation. I literally haven't paid for a single unit of electricity since they installed, and the weather has been horrific. There is no mess, no unsightly wires. The installers have been phenomenally respectful and professional. One popped back round on a Saturday morning to sort something out that he had forgotten to do on the Friday.. on his day off! Extremely happ

How we show reviews

Live and unedited — not a curated highlight reel

The reviews above are pulled straight from Google and Trustpilot, newest first. We don't hand-pick the flattering ones or paste in edited quotes — you're seeing the most recent reviews as they landed, and you can open every one at its source.

That matters because a "review highlights" section of five hand-chosen 5-star quotes tells you nothing — you've no way to check whether they're real, edited, or even from real customers. The platforms above show every review, good and bad, including the rare frustrated one and how we responded to it.

We'd rather you read our real reviews on Google for ten minutes than trust a curated strip on our own website for thirty seconds. That's the right basis for choosing a £5,000–£15,000 installer.

When reading installer reviews

What to look for vs ignore

Pay attention to

  • Reviews mentioning specific products/brands (e.g. "Tesla Powerwall 3") — proves the reviewer actually had the work done.
  • Aftercare reviews 6+ months post-install — tells you how the installer behaves once your deposit is in the bank.
  • Reviews from your local area — confirms the installer actually services your postcode rather than subcontracting to the nearest available crew.
  • How the installer responds to negative reviews — defensive responses suggest a defensive company.

Treat with caution

  • Generic "X did a great job!" with no install detail — often paid or AI-generated.
  • Review clusters all dated within a week — installer ran a "leave us a review" campaign that boosted but didn't represent baseline service.
  • Only positive reviews ever — even great installers have the occasional unhappy customer; total absence of any criticism is suspicious.
  • Hosted-only reviews (only on the installer's own website) — no third-party verification.
