Who we are
AMP Renewables ("AMP", "we", "us", "our") is a renewable-energy installer based at 8 Bede House, Tower Road, Washington, Tyne and Wear, NE37 2SH. We operate the website amprenewables.co.uk.
For the purposes of UK GDPR, AMP Renewables is the data controller for any personal data collected through this website.
You can reach us at info@amprenewables.co.uk or on 0191 535 2711 for any data-protection enquiry, including the right-of-access and right-of-erasure requests described below.
What we collect, and why
1. Quote & contact forms
When you fill in a quote, contact, exit-intent, or "quick quote" form on this site we collect:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Email address (optional on some forms)
- Postcode (optional)
- The service you're enquiring about (solar, battery, EV, heat pump, boiler, AC)
- Anything you choose to write in the message field
Why: to send you a quote and follow up. The lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to your explicit request for a quote). We keep this data for 36 months from the last interaction, after which it is deleted.
2. Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Meta (Facebook) Pixel to understand how visitors use the site and which marketing channels work. These set first-party and third-party cookies that record pages visited, approximate location (city level only — never your street address), device type, browser, and how you arrived at the site (e.g. from Google, from Facebook).
Why: to improve the site and measure marketing effectiveness. The lawful basis is consent — these cookies only fire after you accept the cookie banner on first visit. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser cookies or using your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.
3. Server logs
Our hosting provider (Netlify) keeps automatic access logs containing your IP address, request time, page requested, response code and user-agent string. These are used for security monitoring and abuse prevention, and are deleted after 90 days. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (site security).
Who we share your data with
- Netlify — our website host, processes form submissions and serves the pages. Netlify's privacy notice.
- Google Workspace — our email provider. Quote enquiries received as email are stored in Google's UK/EU data centres.
- Google (Analytics) — receives anonymised usage data via the GA4 SDK if you've accepted analytics cookies. Google's privacy policy.
- Meta (Facebook) — receives anonymised conversion events via the Meta Pixel and Conversions API if you've accepted advertising cookies. Meta's privacy policy.
- Heatio — if you use the heat-pump pre-assessment tool embedded on our heat-pump pages, the data you enter is processed by Heatio Ltd on our behalf as data processor. Heatio's privacy notice.
- GoHighLevel — our CRM. Stores lead records so we can follow up with you.
We never sell your data. We never share your contact details with third parties for marketing other than as listed above.
Cookies
We use three categories of cookies:
- Essential — required for the site to function (form submission, security tokens). No consent required.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4. Set only after you click "Accept all" on the cookie banner.
- Advertising — Meta Pixel for Facebook/Instagram ads. Set only after you click "Accept all".
To opt out of analytics cookies later, clear your browser cookies for amprenewables.co.uk. You can also block analytics globally in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct anything that's wrong
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data (the "right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while we investigate a request
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — for anything we do on the basis of consent (e.g. analytics)
To exercise any of these rights email us at info@amprenewables.co.uk. We'll respond inside the 30-day statutory window.
