Transparent pricing

Real prices, published — no quote-by-pressure tactics

We publish price ranges across all 6 services. Most UK installers hide pricing because variable pricing is part of their sales model. We don\'t. The ranges below are accurate to within 5-10% of your final quote for 90% of installations.

Common questions about our pricing

Why do you publish prices when most installers hide them?

Three reasons. (1) It saves both sides time — if our price range doesn't fit your budget, you find out in 30 seconds rather than after a kitchen-table sales call. (2) It builds trust — installers who hide pricing typically do so to enable variable pricing tactics. (3) It boosts SEO — "[service] cost" is a high-intent search and Google rewards transparent answers with snippet visibility.

Are these prices actually fixed, or do you "build in" extras?

Quotes are fixed-price written. The published ranges reflect the legitimate spread between basic and premium variants of each system. Once we survey your property, you receive a fixed quote that becomes the binding contract price. Add-ons (e.g. you decide to upgrade from string inverter to SolarEdge) get re-quoted in writing.

What's included that other installers might charge extra for?

Standard inclusions: scaffolding, DNO application (G98 or G99), install certificate, F-Gas certification (AC), Gas Safe sign-off (boilers), Building Control notification where applicable, deposit insurance (RECC), 12-month workmanship warranty, manufacturer warranty registration, customer handover + app pairing. Common hidden extras at other installers: scaffolding (£300-£800 separate), MCS cert (£100-£200), DNO notification (£50-£150), warranty registration (£50).

What's NOT included?

Standard not-included: domestic electricity supply upgrade (rare — only if fuse rating below 60A or three-phase needed; we identify in survey and price separately at NPg quoted rate), structural roof reinforcement (almost never needed — surveyed before quoting), planning permission fees (only listed buildings or conservation areas), redecoration after install (rare — only if cable routes require channelling and you want specific finish).

How accurate are the ranges?

Within 5-10% of the actual quote for 90% of cases. The ranges reflect basic-to-premium variants of the same system size; the survey moves you to a specific point within the range. The 10% of cases where the actual quote falls outside the published range typically reflect awkward access (no scaffold-able elevation, internal scaffolding needed), heritage constraints, or unusual property layouts.

Can I get a quote without a site visit?

For solar PV we can give a high-confidence remote quote from satellite imagery + roof angle data — accurate within ±5%. For EV chargers we can give an over-the-phone quote if you can share photos of your consumer unit + intended charger location. For heat pumps and AC we always need a site visit — the heat loss calculation and refrigerant pipe routing need physical inspection.

Do you offer finance?

Yes — 0% finance over 24 months and low-rate finance over 36-60 months via accredited finance partners. Heat pump installs can also be paid in stages (deposit on survey, balance on commissioning). Commercial installs offer operating-lease and PPA routes. See /finance for full options.

Will prices go up?

Equipment prices are subject to manufacturer rate cards which change quarterly. The published ranges reflect 2026 Q2 pricing. Quotes are valid for 30 days; if you commit within that window, the quote price is locked. Solar panels and battery prices have been falling 5-8% annually for several years — but the BUS grant is the bigger lever for heat pumps (will be reviewed by government in 2027-2028 with potential change in funding levels).
