May Tentacle Challenge — Terms & Conditions

1. Promoter

This promotion is run by AMP Renewables Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 8 Bede House, Tower Road, Washington, NE37 2SH. Telephone: 0191 535 2711. Email: info@amprenewables.co.uk.

This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Octopus Energy Group Ltd in any way.

2. Definitions

In these terms, the following words have the meanings set out below:

Term	Meaning
"Challenge" or "Promotion"	The May Tentacle Challenge promotional campaign described on the landing page and governed by these terms.
"Qualifying Quote"	A written Solar PV installation quote issued by Octopus Energy (or any trading entity of Octopus Energy Group Ltd) to the Entrant, dated within 30 days of submission, for a domestic property in the United Kingdom.
"Like-for-Like Quote"	A Solar PV quotation prepared by AMP Renewables for the same property, for a system of equivalent or greater specification to the Qualifying Quote, as defined in clause 7.
"Beat"	AMP Renewables' Like-for-Like Quote being lower in total installed price than the Qualifying Quote by £800 or more, inclusive of VAT.
"Entrant"	A person who submits a valid entry in accordance with clause 5.
"£80 Guarantee"	The payment of £80 to an eligible Entrant where AMP Renewables cannot Beat the Qualifying Quote, subject to the conditions in clause 8.

3. Promotion period

The Challenge opens at 00:01 on 1st May 2026 and closes at 23:59 on 31st May 2026 ("Promotion Period"). Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be considered.

AMP Renewables reserves the right to extend, shorten, suspend, or withdraw the Promotion at any time, with reasonable notice published on the landing page. Any extension or curtailment will not affect the rights of Entrants who have already submitted a valid entry during the original Promotion Period.

4. Eligibility

To be eligible to enter, you must:

• Be aged 18 or over at the time of entry.
• Be a UK resident and the owner, leaseholder, or authorised decision-maker for the property to which the Qualifying Quote relates.
• Have obtained a genuine written Solar PV quote from Octopus Energy for that property.
• Not be an employee, contractor, director, or agent of AMP Renewables Ltd, or a member of their immediate family or household.

Only one entry per property address will be accepted during the Promotion Period. Where duplicate entries are received for the same address, only the first valid submission will be processed.

5. How to enter

To enter the Challenge, you must complete all of the following steps during the Promotion Period:

• Complete the entry form on the Challenge landing page, providing your full name, email address, telephone number, property address, and postcode.
• Upload (or describe) a copy of your Qualifying Quote (see clause 6), clearly showing the quote date, property address, system specification, and total installed price.
• Confirm your acceptance of these Terms & Conditions by ticking the checkbox on the submission form.

Entries submitted by any other means will not be accepted. AMP Renewables accepts no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, corrupted, or fail to be received due to technical issues beyond its reasonable control.

6. Qualifying quotes

To be a Qualifying Quote, the submitted document must:

• Be a formal written quotation (not a ballpark estimate or online calculator result) issued by Octopus Energy or an Octopus Energy Group entity.
• Be dated no more than 30 days before the date of your submission to AMP Renewables.
• Relate to a domestic residential property located in the United Kingdom.
• Include a clearly stated total installed price inclusive of VAT for a Solar PV system.
• Show the property address to which the quote relates.
• Specify the system size (kWp) and key components (panels, inverter).

Please note: If the submitted document is unclear, incomplete, or of insufficient quality to verify the above requirements, AMP Renewables will contact you to request a cleaner copy or additional information. We will not reject an entry without giving you a reasonable opportunity to clarify.

7. The comparison

AMP Renewables will prepare a Like-for-Like Quote based on the following methodology:

• Same property: The comparison will be for the same property address as the Qualifying Quote, based on a desktop survey using available satellite and mapping data. A physical site survey may be arranged where necessary.
• Same or equivalent system size: The quoted system will be of equal or greater total output capacity (kWp) to the Qualifying Quote.
• Equivalent component quality: AMP Renewables will use components of a broadly equivalent tier (e.g. Tier 1 panels where Tier 1 panels are specified in the Qualifying Quote). AMP Renewables is not obligated to use the same brands.
• Full installation included: Both prices must include all labour, materials, scaffolding, system commissioning, install certification, and applicable VAT. Any optional add-ons (e.g. battery storage, EV charger) that appear in the Qualifying Quote will be included in the comparison only if they are clearly priced separately.

What "beating" means: AMP Renewables will have "beaten" the Qualifying Quote if the total installed price of the Like-for-Like Quote is at least £800.00 lower (inclusive of VAT) than the total installed price in the Qualifying Quote. The determination of AMP Renewables is final, subject to clause 11.4.

AMP Renewables will present both figures side by side in writing so you can verify the comparison. You are under no obligation to proceed with an installation.

8. The £80 guarantee

If, after preparing a Like-for-Like Quote, AMP Renewables cannot Beat your Qualifying Quote, you will be entitled to receive £80 (eighty pounds sterling), subject to the following conditions:

• Your entry must be a valid entry (clauses 4, 5, and 6 must all be satisfied).
• The Qualifying Quote must not fall within any of the exclusions listed in clause 9.
• You must provide valid bank account details (sort code and account number) or, if preferred, a postal address to receive a cheque. AMP Renewables will not make payment via cash, cryptocurrency, or gift cards.
• Payment will be made within 28 calendar days of AMP Renewables confirming to you in writing that it cannot Beat the Qualifying Quote.
• You must respond to AMP Renewables' request for payment details within 30 calendar days of that confirmation. Failure to respond within this period will forfeit your entitlement to the £80 payment.

The £80 Guarantee payment is made in lieu of compensation and has no cash alternative. It is not transferable to another person.

Receipt of the £80 Guarantee payment does not preclude you from obtaining a quote from AMP Renewables in the future.

9. Exclusions

The following are excluded from the Challenge. AMP Renewables will not be required to provide a Like-for-Like Quote or pay the £80 Guarantee in these circumstances:

• Commercial properties: Properties used wholly or primarily for commercial, agricultural, or industrial purposes.
• New-build properties: Properties where the Solar PV installation is part of a new-build development package.
• Properties outside AMP Renewables' operational area: AMP Renewables currently covers the Northeast of England. We are unable to install outside this area and therefore cannot provide a valid comparison.
• Roofs deemed unsuitable for solar installation: Where AMP Renewables' assessment identifies structural, access, or planning constraints that prevent installation.
• Quotes including products AMP Renewables does not supply: Where the Qualifying Quote is predominantly for products or services (e.g. solar-only ground-mount systems, community energy schemes) outside AMP Renewables' standard residential offering.
• Fraudulent or dishonest entries: Any entry where the Qualifying Quote has been altered, fabricated, or where the Entrant has provided false information.
• Quotes older than 30 days: As defined in clause 6.

Where an entry is excluded, AMP Renewables will notify the Entrant in writing and explain the reason. Exclusions will not be applied arbitrarily.

10. Data & privacy

By entering the Challenge, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AMP Renewables will collect and process your personal data (name, contact details, property address, and the contents of your uploaded quote) for the purpose of administering the Challenge and preparing a Like-for-Like Quote.
• Your data will be processed in accordance with AMP Renewables' Privacy Policy and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).
• The submitted Qualifying Quote may contain personal data about you. By submitting it, you confirm you have the right to share it with AMP Renewables for this purpose.
• AMP Renewables will not share your personal data or the contents of your Qualifying Quote with any third party except where required by law or where necessary to administer the Challenge (e.g. a payment processing provider).
• Challenge entry data will be retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date of entry, after which it will be securely deleted, unless you have separately consented to marketing communications or entered into a contract with AMP Renewables.
• If you do not wish to be contacted about AMP Renewables' services following the conclusion of your Challenge entry, you may opt out at any time by emailing info@amprenewables.co.uk.

11. General terms

11.1 No purchase necessary. Entry to this Challenge is free. No purchase of any product or service from AMP Renewables is required.

11.2 No obligation to proceed. Participation in the Challenge and receipt of a Like-for-Like Quote does not create any obligation on either party to enter into a contract for installation services.

11.3 Limitation of liability. AMP Renewables shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from participation in this Challenge except where such liability cannot be excluded by law (including personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). AMP Renewables' total liability in connection with any individual Challenge entry shall not exceed £80.

11.4 Disputes. AMP Renewables' decision on all matters relating to the Challenge (including whether a quote qualifies, whether the comparison is like-for-like, and whether the £80 Guarantee is payable) is final. If you believe a decision has been made unfairly, you may write to us at the address in clause 1 within 14 days of receiving our decision, and we will review your case. We aim to respond within 10 working days.

11.5 Advertising Standards. This promotion complies with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (CAP Code). AMP Renewables reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is found to be in breach of these terms or that involves fraudulent conduct.

11.6 Changes to terms. AMP Renewables reserves the right to amend these terms at any time during the Promotion Period. Any material changes will be communicated on the Challenge landing page. Changes will not retrospectively affect the rights of Entrants who have already submitted valid entries.

11.7 This promotion is not a lottery or prize draw. The £80 Guarantee is a conditional refund offered to all eligible Entrants whose Qualifying Quote cannot be beaten — it is not awarded by random selection.

12. Governing law

These terms and conditions and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You and AMP Renewables agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
